The Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce recently announced the launch of its new website. The site, funded in part by a Tourism Enterprise Marketing Grant from the Maine Office of Tourism, features SEO responsive design and mobilization to address changes in online search engines that make these updates crucial for tourism-related businesses and to optimize the website given the proliferation of the use of mobile devices by tourists.

Beyond these technology improvements, the site offers a clean and crisp new user interface, which is expected to greatly improve the user experience for visitors considering the Rangeley region as a destination.

“It’s a very competitive market and our region has so much to offer. Our website is often the first impression people have of the area, so we wanted our website to be a compelling reflection of the area itself.” stated Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Karen A. Ogulnick, in a news release from the Chamber.

Just a few of the exciting new features include an interactive Areas of Interest map www.rangeleymaine.com, online brochures and simplified navigation, making it easier for visitors to find the information they’re seeking.

For all Chamber members, there are enhanced ways to promote their businesses and services and take direct control of their online profiles.

The Tourism Enterprise Marketing Grant program was introduced by the Maine Office of Tourism in 2014. The objective is to support tourism-related projects of smaller organizations with funding that can help those organizations grow and even start new initiatives.
