In her letter Judy Danielson wrote: “women’s reproductive rights are controlled, not by the woman and her doctor, but by nine black-robed Supreme Court Justices.” (“Proud member of Trump’s enemies’ list,” Nov. 21).

I doubt Danielson feels the same way about the nine all-male black-robed Supreme Court justices who threw out the laws of all 50 states that outlawed abortion.

Abortion is not about controlling reproduction. When a woman is pregnant, it is a biological reality that reproduction has already taken place. Abortion is about killing the child that has been produced. Just as our government has the responsibility and the right to prevent armed robbery, it has the responsibility and right to prevent the killing of innocent human beings. That includes those waiting to be born.

Justice Harry Blackmun stated in Roe v. Wade, “If the suggestion of personhood is established, (Roe’s) case of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life would then be guaranteed.”

With the invention of ultrasound we can now watch the fetus (Latin for “little one”) suck his or her thumb, smile, etc. Today they can even operate on the fetus.

The Roe v. Wade decision has now been proven obsolete. Only a person smiles or sucks his or her thumb. Trump has been proven right on this one. Let’s pray he gets it done and the slaughter ends.
