Gov. Paul LePage on Tuesday announced the reappointment of two District Court judges and the appointment of one new judge to the District Court bench.
All of the judges live in southern Maine.
Beth Dobson of Falmouth and Daniel F. Driscoll of Biddeford were reappointed while attorney Michael A. Duddy of Cape Elizabeth was newly appointed.
Dobson and Driscoll were first appointed to the bench in 2009. Both are graduates of the University of Maine School of Law.
Duddy, an attorney in Portland, is a Navy veteran. He also earned his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law.
The appointments by the governor will be taken up by the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee and require confirmation votes by the Senate.
