BINGHAM — Zach Small scored 43 points for Richmond, out-dueling Valley’s Austin Cates, who scored 40, to lead the Bobcats to a 76-68 East/West Conference boys basketball win Tuesday.

Richmond (8-0) led 35-19 at the half, before Valley (7-1) rallied to make it a closer game. Matt Holt added 16 points for the Bobcats, while Cody Tribbet scored 14.

Along with his 40 points, Cates had 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Brandon Thomas added 12 points for Valley.

OAK HILL 65, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 57: Marcus Bailey had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Raiders to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Wales.

Cohen Donnell added 11 points for Oak Hill (6-3) while Evan Boston chipped in nine.

The Falcons (4-6) were led by Jake Blanchard with 21 points and Mike Pare with 19.

ERSKINE 43, WATERVILLE 38: Noah Bonsant hauled in 11 rebounds to go along with eight blocks and three points to spark the Eagles to the win in South China.

Jack Jowett led the offense with 17 points for Erskine (6-4).

David Barre scored 11 points for Waterville (0-10) while Ethan Cayer added eight.

GARDINER 69, LEAVITT 58: Eli Kropp and Connor McGuire each scored 15 points to lead Gardiner to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory in Turner.

Hunter Chasse scored 14 points for the Tigers (5-3), who led 35-22 at the half.

D’Andre James and Jack Sylvester each scored a game-high 17 points to lead Leavitt (1-9).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

RICHMOND 31, VALLEY 23: Sydney Tilton had 11 points and 10 rebounds to spark the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Bingham.

Mackenzie Abbott added 11 points for Richmond (8-0).

Kendra Sweet scored eight points to lead Valley (1-8).

MADISON 68, WINTHROP 35: Sydney LeBlanc scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win in Madison.

Lauren Hay scored 12 points, while Ashley Emery added 10 points and five assists for Madison (7-2).

Kena Souza led Winthrop (3-4) with eight points.

BOOTHBAY 50, HALL-DALE 22: Elle Dekker scored eight points as the Bulldogs fell to the Seahawks in Farmingdale.

Sabrina Freeman added six points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Hall-Dale (0-10).

Page Brown led Boothbay (10-0) with 22 points.

GARDINER 58, LEAVITT 31: Mikayla Bourassa scored 13 points to spark the Tigers to the win in Turner.

Lauren Chadwick added 12 points for Gardiner (6-2).

Leavitt (4-6) was led by Elizabeth Goulette with 11 points.
