WATERVILLE — University of Maine at Farmington Professor Scott Erb will give a talk about “The Crisis of the Syrian Civil War and Refugees in the EU” during a Mid-Maine Global Forum at noon Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Alfond Youth Center, 126 North St. Snow date is Jan. 13.

Erb, a Maine Humanities Council World in Your Library speaker, is a professor of political science at UMF, whose specialty is German politics and the European Union.

In this talk, Erb will discuss both the background of the Syrian civil war and refugee crisis, and the profound impact this has on Germany and the European Union.
