BINGHAM — Kendra Sweet hit a 3-pointer with four seconds left and then made a free throw after a forced turnover to help the Valley girls basketball team hold off Greenville 28-26 in an East/West Conference game Tuesday night.

Sweet finished with seven points. Samantha West led the Cavaliers (3-8) with eight points while Jess Pomerleau scored nine to lead the Lakers (4-6).

RANGELEY 51, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 20: Natasha Haley scored 21 points and Sydney Royce added 15 to lead the Lakers at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Haley had 10 rebounds and eight steals as well. Brooke Egan had a strong game for Rangeley (9-2), finishing with six points, five steals and four assists.

Courtney Williams scored 17 points to lead Seacoast Christian (2-10).

PINE TREE 55, FOREST HILLS 46: Alexandra Goodman scored a game-high 25 points and Adrianna DePalma added 17 to lead Pine Tree in a Class D South game at the Augusta Civic Center. Emily Schlisner scored 13 for Pine Tree (6-2) as well. Caitlin Logston scored a team-high 23 points for the Tigers (6-6).

MT. ABRAM 49, HALL-DALE 34: Summer Ross scored a game-high 17 points to spark the Roadrunners to the MVC win in Farmingdale.

Meg Sorel added 14 points for Mt. Abram (5-4) while Lindsay Huff chipped in 12.

Cat Kincaid scored a career-high 12 points and 10 rebounds for Hall-Dale (0-13) while Ele Dekker and Alyssa Bonenfant scored six points apiece.

BOOTHBAY 58, WINTHROP 35: Page Brown scored 37 points to spark the Seahawks to the MVC win in Winthrop.

Kate Iriant added 10 points for Boothbay (12-0).

Kena Souza led Winthrop (6-5) with 17 points, including five 3-pointers while Layne Audet chipped in seven.

BOYS BASKETBALL

FOREST HILLS 60, PINE TREE 52: Dalton Gregoire and Parker Desjardins each scored 14 points to lead a balanced Tigers attack in a Class D win at the Augusta Civic Center.

Jakob Rivas and Kenn Vito Cruz each scored 12 points for Forest Hills (8-5). Jay Jean-Louis led Pine Tree (3-5) with 26 points, while Jared Tamalea added 17.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 55, RANGELEY 34: Caleb LaCroix scored 19 points to lift the Guardians to the Class D win at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Sky Archer added 12 points for Seacoast (7-5).

Kyle LaRochelle had a game-high 20 points for Rangeley (3-8).

HALL-DALE 58, MT. ABRAM 31: Alec Byron scored 11 points to lead a balanced attack for the Bulldogs in an MVC win in North Anson.

Alec Roberts, Tyler Nadeau and Jett Boyer added eight points apiece for Hall-Dale (9-4).

Casey Holt scored a game-high 16 points for Mt. Abram (0-10).

GREENVILLE 62, VALLEY 51: Nick Foley scored 22 points and Connor DiAngelo added 14 as the Lakers sank the Cavaliers in Bingham.

Matt Mendez scored eight points for Greenville (7-1), which outscored Valley (8-3) 14-5 in the fourth quarter.

Austin Cates scored 19 points to lead the Cavs.
