Sen. Susan Collins recently joined with other lawmakers to begin repealing the Affordable Care Act. I had hoped she would be able to stand up for the country rather than her party, but shouldn’t have been surprised since she also is supporting Jeff Sessions for attorney general.
The Republicans have been trying for years to repeal this health care law and have never offered a plan of their own. All their time and energy went into resisting President Barack Obama and anything he wanted to pass.
I am greatly saddened that Collins has joined the pack.
