The Waterville Public Library will be closed Jan. 25-31. The closure is because of reconstruction work necessary following unexpected water damage from a burst frozen pipe on Dec. 17.

Flooring and woodwork in the library’s entryway and lobby, ruined by several inches of standing water, will be replaced while the library is closed.

Checked out materials due during the closure will be extended to Wednesday, Feb. 1. A book return and pick-up station will be available in Waterville City Hall, 1 Common St. This station will be staffed and open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 25-27 and Jan. 30-31. Patrons can place holds by stopping by the station, calling 872-5433, or visit the library’s online catalog at minerva.maine.edu/search~S41/.

For more information, call 872-5433 or email librarian@watervillelibrary.org.
