AUGUSTA — New Ventures Maine will offer Career Planning, a free five-week class to help participants prepare for the next career move, starting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Lithgow Public Library, 45 Winthrop St.
Pre-registration is required for the free workshop.
In this class, participants can review skills, interests and experiences and relate them to occupations. The focus will be on education and training opportunities, research the local job market, and develop a step-by-step plan to achieve career goals.
The class is open to adults of all backgrounds. Anyone interested in building a career, going back to school, or finding a new job is welcome.
Graduates of Career Planning are eligible to apply for the University of Maine at Augusta GEN Scholarship.
