MONMOUTH — Abbey Allen had 14 points and 10 rebounds as Monmouth handed Boothbay its first loss of the season 49-36 in Mountain Valley Conference girls basketball action Saturday.

Tia Day added 14 points for Monmouth (12-2), which outscored the Seahawks 18-9 in the final quarter.

Boothbay (13-1) was led by Page Brown with 20 points.

HALL-DALE 40, WISCASSET 28: Sabrina Freeman scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to their first victory of the season in MVC action.

Cat Kincaid scored nine points and nabbed seven rebounds, while Kayla Searles added eight points and seven assists for Hall-Dale (1-14).

Hayhlee Craig led Wiscasset (1-12) with 18 points.

RICHMOND 63, BUCKFIELD 14: Sydney Tilton had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lift the host Bobcats to the East/West Conference win.

Ashley Abbott added 11 points for Richmond (12-0) while Brianne Lancaster hauled in nine rebounds.

Buckfield (3-9) was led by Seneca Jacobs and Hannah Shields with three points apiece.

TEMPLE 58, ISLESBORO 22: Kiara Carr scored 21 points to lead Temple to a 58-22 victory.

Selam Heinrich scored 14 points, while Veronica Rossignol chipped in with nine points for the Bereans (8-4).

Emily Lau led the Eagles (5-5) with 14 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

RICHMOND 63, BUCKFIELD 55: Zach Small scored a game-high 36 points to lead the Bobcats to an East/West Conference victory in Richmond.

Cody Tribbet scored 15 points, while Matt Rines added seven points and six assists for Richmond (12-0).

Ethan Jackson led Buckfield (5-8) with 18 points.
