The Waterville Public Library recently announced the following free school vacation programs will take place Feb. 21-24.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

• Cardboard Square Building Challenge, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., children can use cardboard to create unique sculptures.

• Crafternoons: Yarn Jewelry, 2-4 p.m., for children 7 and older; younger children must bring a grownup helper.

Wednesday, Feb. 22

• Bookend Painting, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., decorate the Bartlett Room for Teens. Design a bookend based on a favorite book or fandom. When the painting is done, the bookends will be returned to hold up books on the teen room shelves.

• Design Your Own Buttons, 2-4 p.m., make pins and badges. For children 7 and older; younger children must bring a grownup helper.

Thursday, Feb. 23

• Duct Tape Crafts, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., learn to make wallets, bow ties and more.

• Slime Science, 2-4 p.m., learn the science behind the slime; for children 7 and older; younger kids must bring a grownup helper.

Friday, Feb. 24

• Marble Maze Madness, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., work in teams or on your own to create a marble maze out of recycled materials.

• Ready-for-Spring, 2-4 p.m., activities include science, technology, engineering, math and art: STEAM, explore how seeds grow into flowers and food plants. For children 7 and older; younger kids must bring a grownup helper.
