Have you heard the proposal to turn Medicare into a premium support program? It is critical that you understand that this is a plan to privatize, voucher and block grant our senior public health retirement programs. We have all paid into this program all our working lives with the understanding that our senior health care programs had the full faith and credit of the US government backing it. This system works very well and it is not free, we still pay premiums for part B and D and a supplement policy if necessary.
The scheme to privatize the system gives control of our health program to private entities whose business motive is to make a profit. The control of our care will then be parceled out as they see fit and they will decide what care you can or cannot have. Please raise your voices to your legislators and do not let this happen.
