Power had been restored to all but 369 customers in southern Maine on Thursday afternoon after high winds knocked out power in Maine and New Hampshire. The numbers reflect reports on the Central Maine Power website.

In New Hampshire, Eversource reported just below 2,000 outages by late afternoon.

More than 5,000 customers in New Hampshire and 2,900 customers in Maine were without power earlier in the day.

A wind advisory is in effect on Thursday for York and Cumberland counties in Maine. The National Weather Service in Gray says gusts of more than 50 mph have been felt around southern Maine and in New Hampshire.

Parts of New Hampshire are also under a wind advisory. The weather service says the two states have had reports of downed trees on roads and onto utility wires.

Central Maine Power reported that the power outages were clustered mostly in Cumberland, York and Somerset counties.
