I wish to extend an enormous thank you to the conscientious people who retrieved salvageable mail from the residue of the Winthrop Post Office fire. The fire was on Tuesday morning and I received a slightly burned, but relatively intact package in Saturday’s mail at my address on Westport Island.

I can only imagine what it took to get the package out and on its way. Its contents were very important to me. I am truly grateful to the people involved for their extraordinary efforts.
