This letter was written in response to Tim Johnson’s Feb. 25 letter regarding sidewalk clearance: (”Augusta must do better on snowy sidewalks”). I looked out the window a week or so ago and indeed saw someone walking up the middle of Western Avenue. Must have been him!

There were people dodging cars and horns honking for almost a week as people had to walk right out in Augusta’s busiest street. And we didn’t get mail for four days or so because the mailmen understandably don’t like slogging through two inches of snow.

Seems to me Western Avenue should be priority as much as Blaine House area.
