Plans for Winthrop’s 30th Sidewalk Art Festival are underway and the Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications from artists and crafters who would like to participate.
The festival will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, in downtown Winthrop.
This year, the chamber will give out awards for the top three artists or crafters in the show.
Organizers also hopes to add several new artists, increase community involvement, and offer a variety of entertainment and refreshments.
Also needed are businesses, non-profit groups or volunteers who would like to sponsor the festival or get involved in planning or assisting with the event.
The registration fee is $60, an early registration discount will be applied to applications received before June 15. The registration deadline is Aug. 1.
