AUGUSTA — The 2017 Miles for Mills 5K is scheduled for Monday, May 29. The run will begin after a presentation of colors and the national anthem at 8 a.m.

The course will begin at Kennebec Valley Coaching, 50 Front St., proceed up Front Street, back down Water Street, then about a mile down the Kennebec River Rail Trail. This is a low, flat course that offers speed for competitive participants, and a safe, walkable, family friendly course for everyone.

The event is open to runners, walkers, families and students. A waiver signed by an adult is requested for participants younger than 18.

Race timing will be offered. Runner packets are available at Kennebec Valley Coaching before the event.

Event day registration will cost $25. Parking is available throughout downtown Augusta.
