NEWPORT — Paige Trask hit a solo home run and the Winslow softball team rallied in the seventh inning on Thursday to beat Nokomis 6-5 in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B regular season finale for both teams.

Sarah Guimond and Bailey Robbins each had two hits and drove in a run for Winslow (12-4).

Aren Herrick had two hits for Nokomis (8-8).

BASEBALL

MARANACOOK 9, WATERVILLE 6: The Black Bears scored four runs in the seventh inning to come from behind in the KVAC B game in Waterville.

Dan Garand, who held the Panthers to four runs in a five-inning start, doubled for Maranacook (6-10).

Cam Denis had a double for Waterville (12-4), which committed four errors in the loss.

GIRLS LACROSSE

OCEANSIDE 14, CONY 7: Emily Tyler scored four goals to lead the Mariners to the KVAC B win in Rockland.

Jillian Brooks and Sierra Beal each added hat tricks for Oceanside (10-2), while Kelsey Brooks added a pair of scores.

Lauren Coniff and Sarah Caron each scored twice for Cony (6-6), and Kat Biasuz made 12 saves in the cage.

OCEANSIDE 12, LAWRENCE 3: Gabby Straka scored three goals, one of five different Mariners with multi-goal games in the KVAC B win in Fairfield on Wednesday.

Julia Barbour, Jillian Brooks, Kelsey Brooks and Emily Tyler each scored twice for Oceanside (10-2).

Cassandra Poli, Harley Dixon and Hallee Parlin scored for Lawrence (2-10). Sierra Weston made 16 saves.

BOYS LACROSSE

BRUNSWICK 22, MESSALONSKEE 10: Aiden Glover scored eight goals as the Dragons took the KVAC A showdown in Brunswick.

Max Gramins and Andrew Eno each added four goals for unbeaten Brunswick (12-0).

Austin Pelletier paced Messalonskee (7-5) with five goals, while Alden Balboni scored twice. Dawson Charles made eight saves for the Eagles.
