WINTHROP — Southern Maine Association of Shakespearian homeschoolers will celebrate its 25th year with an encore presentation of “The Comedy of Errors” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17, at Winthrop Performing Arts Center, 211 Rambler Road.
SMASH is a small theater group of homeschool families who come together from the far reaches of central Maine. They learn all the aspects of putting a play on the stage. Through their work, they discover Shakespeare, but they also find interests and talents, and hone abilities and skills they never knew they had.
To promote the event a “Shakespearian Flash Mob” is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the Auburn Mall.
