WATERVILLE — The Waterville Opera House will present “Exit Laughing,” a comedic play written by Paul Elliot and directed by Debra Susi. The show stars some of the region’s most hilariously entertaining acting talent and opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 16, and runs through Sunday, June 25.

When the biggest highlight in your life for the past 30 years has been your weekly bridge night out with the “girls,” what do you do when one of your foursome inconveniently dies? If you’re Connie, Leona and Millie, you do the most daring thing you’ve ever done. You “borrow” the ashes from the funeral home, and have the wildest, most exciting night of your lives involving a police raid, a stripper, and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you’re truly living.

This show is rated PG-13 for profanity so if you bring your grandmother along — which we highly recommend — let her know it’s a “little blue.” Better safe than sorry!

Show times are 7:30 p.m. June 16, 17, 23 and 24; and 2 p.m. June 18 and 25.

Tickets cost $21 for adults, $19 for youths and seniors, and groups of 10-plus will receive a 10 percent discount.
