My father Ferdinand Cyr and my uncle Hector Cyr built St. Joseph Maronite Church. For that reason, while renting in Winslow for 10 years, my wife Lorraine and I attended St. Joseph four times over a three-month period. We enjoyed attending Mass there and liked the service. We enjoyed their beautiful choir and the wonderful parishioners.
We got to know Father Jensen and was sorry to hear of the substantiated allegation of sexual abuse of a minor 15 years ago in Connecticut. There is no excuse for a religious leader of a church to do anything like that, but you read it in the paper or see it on TV all the time — coaches, teachers, TV personalities, movie stars, etc.
Christ chose 12 apostles and Judas to show weakness of man. We are not to judge, but pray for them.
