The West Gardiner Gardeners Garden Tour and Plant Sale is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Auxiliary Hall, 314 Spears Corner Road.
The organization began five years ago to promote awareness, appreciation and involvement in all aspects of gardening for all ages.
Norm Davis prepares for the West Gardiner Gardeners Garden Tour and Plant Sale. Davis' philosophy is, "If you want to plant something in a place you like, plant it!" His flower gardens are a mix of perennial and annual favorites within six or more areas, along with a lush vegetable garden. Four more gardens on the tour offer unique features, such as a Hosta song garden, gnomes galore garden, a White Fringetree and ponds with turtles and frogs. Contributed photo
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and free for children.
Proceeds will benefit graduating students of Gardiner Area High School.
