People passed a referendum that asked for a 3 percent income tax surcharge after $200,000 of earnings. The budget provides $162 million for public education now, but what about afterwards? Legislators dismissed this petty request as folks just not knowing any better.

Even discussing removing a passed referendum is seditious, and now the will of the people means absolutely nothing. Who do we think we are passing referenda that the powerful do not like? I hope voters remember the disdain our government has for its voters when elections are held. Our elected officials lie, slander and certainly do not serve us.

How they even sleep after spitting in the faces of voters is not comprehensible. We the people are but slaves to economic masters, and the corporate-controlled world will do what it must to keep its power and too bad if we do not agree.
