WATERVILLE — The following area students recently were named to the 2016-17 spring semester dean’s list at Colby College.

Samantha E. Arsenault, of Alna, a freshman, attended Wiscasset High School and is the daughter of Lisa Arsenault of Alna, and Jason Arsenault, of Alna. She plans to study biology.

Alyssa C. Chesney, of Blue Hill, a freshman, attended George Stevens Academy and is the daughter of Grace Konecny, of Blue Hill, and Stephen Chesney, of Canaan. She studies history.

Celie M. Deagle, of Canaan, a senior, attended Skowhegan Area High School and is the daughter of Paul and Sharon Deagle, of Canaan. She majored in history and classical civilization.

Caitlin R. Farrington, of South China, a sophomore, attended Erskine Academy and is the daughter of Neil and Doreen Farrington, of South China. She studies psychology with a neuroscience concentration.

Austin E. Frederick, of Norridgewock, a sophomore, attended Skowhegan Area High School and is the son of Ronald Frederick and Lisa Watson-Frederick, of Norridgewock. He studies government.

Kaitlin M. Volk, of Bowdoin, a sophomore, attended Mount Ararat School and is the daughter of Ronald and Lisa Volk, of Bowdoin. She studies biology with a concentration in ecology and evolution and environmental science.

Allison M. Wehrle, of Wiscasset, a freshman, attended Lincoln Academy and is the daughter of Paul and Ginger Wehrle, of Wiscasset. She studies English with a concentration in creative writing.

Colleen E. Wright, of Fayette, a junior, attended Maranacook Community School and is the daughter of James and Mary Wright, of Fayette. She studies music.

Students earned a semester grade point average of 3.77 or higher this spring to be included on Colby’s highly selective dean’s list.
