Albion Field Day 2017 is set for Saturday, July 29. The event is a celebration of the 70th year of Albion Fire-Rescue and Yeaton’s Service & Supply.

Festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. Thursday, July, 27, with the Queens Contest at the Albion Elementary School.

A street dance featuring The Whiskey Sour Band, a countryband, is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 28, in the field adjacent to the Albion Fire Station. Admission is free, no alcolol or pets will be allowed.

Saturday’s events will kick off with the Fun Run at 9 a.m. behind the elementary school, followed by a 10 a.m. parade starting on Hussey Road and proceeding down Main Street. Events in the Field Day Field begin at 11 a.m., behind the Besse Building. There will be food available for purchase.

Children’s activities will include a bounce house, dunk tank and petting zoo. Other events will include, the Lion’s Club auction, raffle and flea market, a K-9 demostration by Maine State Police, two shows by Tickles the Clown and more.
