DRESDEN — A new exhibit of children’s toys is on view through Columbus Day at Pownalborough Court House, Courthouse Road.

Lincoln County Historical Association volunteers Faye Snyder and Perry Palmer, both avid historians and collectors, created the toy exhibit by a painting of the Hooper children, Alice and Harrie, who lived in the house in the mid 1800s. Snyder and Palmer added to the museum’s collection, located in an upstairs bedroom, with toys, books, games and dolls from their own collections.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday during August and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays Sept. 1 through Columbus Day.

Admission is $5 for adults, and free for children 16 and younger and LCHA members.
