Mid-Coast Audubon will host a traditional lobsterbake Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Hog Island Audubon Camp. A $50 donation will include a lobster, clams, potato, corn and onion all baked over an open fire. Lemonade, coffee and dessert will complete the gourmet extravaganza; BYOB. Boat transportation is included and departs the audubon dock in Bremen at the end of Keene Neck Road at 10 a.m. for those who wish to hike the island, or noon and lunch will be unveiled at 1 p.m. People must reserve choice in advance. Return ferry from the island is at 3 p.m. Limit of 90 tickets will be sold, so make early reservation.

Hog Island is a place to explore before or after the lobsterbake. Members of the Mid-Coast Audubon Board will display their cooking talents and will be available to answer bird questions.
