A Bangor man pleaded guilty Wednesday to sexual exploitation of children and possession of child pornography.

Jeffrey Swimm, 38, entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

Swimm produced child pornography from October 2012 to April 2017, some of it made by using a camera hidden in his bathroom, authorities said. He also had other still images and video of child porn that he received over the internet, including some images of children under 12.

He faces 15 to 30 years in prison for child exploitation and up to 20 years in prison for possessing child pornography. He also faces up to a $250,000 fine on each count and between five years and life on supervised release.

Swimm will be sentenced at a later date.
