WATERVILLE — Inland Hospital will kick off its sixth year-long LET’S GO! Family Fun Series between 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Head of Falls on Front Street.

This free, family-friendly event will include activities promoting the 5-2-1-0 healthy habits, kite making (free kits for first 200 children) and flying, a “musical petting zoo,” games and other activities along the riverfront and trails, healthy snacks, prizes, giveaways and more.

The event will launch a new series of free, monthly events for the 2017-18 program year that includes Healthy Kids Day and the Kiwanis Kids Health & Safety Fun Fair. New collaborative events include a painting activity during Youth Art Month and a hike and bike event at Quarry Road Trails.

Collaborating partners for the program include the Alfond Youth Center and Waterville Parks & Recreation along with Healthy Northern Kennebec, Hannaford, Kiwanis, Waterville Creates! and other local organizations and volunteers.
