RUMFORD — Bre Feeney had a goal and two assists to help lead the unbeaten Winthrop field hockey team to a 6-1 victory over Mountain Valley in a Mountain Valley Conference game Wednesday. Elle Blanchard and Moriah Hajduk each added a goal and an assist for Winthrop (6-0-0). Aiva Agre made four saves for the win.
Ryle Sevigny scored the lone goal for Mountain Valley (3-3-0).
BOYS SOCCER
MCI 6, NOKOMIS 1: Jacob Sommer and Nick Howard each scored twice as the Huskies picked up the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win in Pittsfield.
Devon Varney added a goal and two assists for MCI (2-3-0), while Bryce Tuttle also scored.
Bryce Sides scored for Nokomis (0-4-0).
