BREWER — Anthony Sousa scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds to go, and the Cony football team picked up a 20-14 victory over Brewer in a Pine Tree Conference Class B victory to end a four-game losing streak against the Witches.

Reed Hopkins caught a 15-yard touchdown pass for Cony (3-2), and also notched the game-winning interception with nine seconds to go. Logan Leadbetter had a 6-yard run with 6:30 left in the game that was followed by a conversion pass from Sousa to Matthew Wozniak, allowing the Rams to tie the game at 14.

Jacob McCluskey hauled in a 50-yard touchdown reception for the Witches (2-3).

WINSLOW 35, HERMON 33: Ryan Fredette ran for 228 yards and three touchdowns to help Winslow take a win over Hermon.

Fredette scored on a 1-yard run 33 seconds into the fourth quarter to give Winslow a 35-26 lead. The Hawks scores with 1:31 to play on a one yard Nick Page run to cut Winslow’s lead to two, but Winslow recovered the kick and ran out the clock.

Fredette’s 49-yard TD run in the third have the Black Raiders (4-1) a 28-20 lead, but Hermon (3-2) answered with Jordan Bishop’s 59-yard touchdown run. Bishop ran for two touchdowns for Hermon.

Winslow quarterback Ryan Gagnon ran for a pair of touchdowns and threw for 108 yards.
