Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be staged at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the RFA Lakeside Theater. Kent Burnham adapted and directed the production.

Magic, laughter and love are on the loose in the woods outside Athens in Shakespeare’s pastoral comedy. The fairy king and queen are at war, Court and Commoners alike prepare for Theseus and Hippolyta’s wedding, and Puck stirs the pot leading two pairs of lovers on a wild and wacky chase in search of true romance.

The show also will be presented at 9:30 a.m. for students in grades 9-12 at the Rangeley Lakes Regional School.

Theater at Monmouth will provide theater workshops to different classes at RLRS throughout the day. TAM’s visit is organized by English Teacher Tim Straub in conjunction with the School Program Committee of the RFA.

The Theater at Monmouth presentation will be sponsored by The Rangeley Friends of the Arts.

A free-will donation will be accepted.
