Chadwick Hill Cemetery Association officers Dick and Ann Grimshaw remind all visitors to the Chadwick Hill Cemetery in South China that there is to be no planting of trees and/or shrubs in the cemetery.

COMING UP
Thursday, July 31
Annual meeting of the Chadwick Hill Cemetery and its Board of Directors will be held on Thursday, July 31 at 7 p.m. at the South China Community Fellowship Church.
UPCOMING PALERMO DAYS PLANS
Aug 2 : Quilt show, and quilting demonstrations. 10- 3 at Palermo School flea market and craft sales outside at the School 9 - 2 evening public supper at American Legion Post in Palermo, Turner Ridge Rd. Exact time to be determined.
Aug 3: Bus Tour of historic places in Palermo, reservations required at least one week in advance, donations would be helpful to cover cost of gas. Please call Miriam at 993-2455 or Martha at 993-2302 Evening services at Branch Mills Union Church, 6 p.m.
Aug 4: Pet show, 7 p.m at Palermo Christian church
Aug 5: Library open house 6:30, rehearsal for talent show 7:30
Aug 6: Family fun night and car show, Ball Field on Turner Ridge , 6:30 p.m.
Aug 7: Basketball challenge at Palermo Christian church 7 pm. Ed Hatch 993-2636
Aug 8: Talent show at Ball Field, (time?) Turner Ridge, food and fireworks afterward, beginning around 7 p.m. Bring your own chairs and bug repelent.
Aug 9: Parade 10 a.m. , Pie contest and auction, Petting Zoo, 10:30 - noon, Book sale and chicken bbq, Whatever race on Branch Pond 1:30 p.m. Questions call Lisa Glidden 993-2781
Public supper at Christian church to benefit Cotes' Wildlife Ctr, donations appreciated. 5 pm - 7 pm Street dance at 8 pm featuring "The 45's" - bring lawn chairs and bug repellent.
In the time, between July 1 and the beginning of these activities, a quilt raffle and Palermo Days T-shirt sales are ongoing to help defray expenses. Volunteers are needed to help out with many events. Please call 993-2026 or 993-2089
