HALLOWELL — The knitting clubs at Cotton Mill Apartments and the Cohen Center have made a number of items to donate to local charities.

These include 10 baby sweaters; five baby blankets; 175 baby hats; 160 children’s hats; 125 children’s mittens; 206 chemotherapy hats; 10 scarves; 21 lap robes; 14 walker bags; 25 felted mice; and 25 felted kitten balls.

These items have been donted to the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care; Maine Medical Center Cancer Institute; Home for Little Wanderers; as well as local nusing homes, schools and shelters and more.

Group members at the Cohen Center are Rayna Boothby, Cindy McPherson, Chris Pomroy, Judy Raymond and Fran Gowen. Members at Cotton Mill Apartments are Rose Betit, Barbara Layton, Ellen Nason, Dot Damon, June Jones, Debbie Caldwell, Diane Short, Catherine Luken, Betty Trask, Lorraine Trytec, and Lois Harrup.
