There is a simple answer for the United States and Maine when it comes to money problems.

Many are complaining that Gov. Paul LePage and Republicans in Washington are cutting spending to many of the nation’s and state’s little social programs. After years of overspending from here to Washington, D.C., the piggy bank is empty and the cash cow isn’t mooing quite so loud.

Every American, including Stephen King, can volunteer to send more money to the government and, since half the country is liberal, that would put quite a bit of change back in the piggy bank.

We Republicans get what we want (no more taxes) and Democrats get what they want (all kinds of funding for government waste and pork).

Next time a Democrat complains about a service or program cut, they should get out their pen and cut a check to Uncle Sam.
