Caitlin Stratton recently won the undergraduate research project poster competition at the Maine Water Conference held in Augusta.
Her poster was titled Investigating the relationship between phytoplankton fluorescence and bloom composition in Harpswell Sound. The Maine Water Conference is sponsored by the University of Maine and Senator George J. Mitchell Center.
Stratton is a student at Bowdoin College, where she is studying biochemistry and German. She was a 2009 graduate of Maranacook High School in Readfield.
Stratton is the daughter of Cathryn and Robert Stratton of Manchester.
