OAKLAND — An informational meeting will be held Wednesday on plans for a proposed new building housing the fire station, police department and town office.

The meeting, which will feature a PowerPoint presentation, will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Oakland Fire Station.

A review of the existing buildings will be followed by an explanation of the work that’s been done by the Oakland Building Study Committee. The committee was established by the Town Council and has been working since April 2009.

Town officials plan to request funding for the project at the May 3 annual town meeting to complete design plans. A final vote on the project is scheduled for the Nov. 8 referendum.
