My husband died March 27, and our son and I went to put more flowers on his grave for Father’s Day.
I went again June 28 to water them and discovered the tallest iron stake was empty. The hanging plant with beautiful small blue flowers was gone.
Its disappearance made me cry immediately. How could anyone steal from a new grave, the grass not up yet? That is so cruel and evil to a family that is grieving over the loss of their loved one.
I reported the theft to the Hallowell police, and they will be watching the cemetery.
