PORTLAND — Weeks of dropping gasoline prices in Maine have come to an end and the average price has risen by a dime per gallon in the past week.

The price monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com says average retail gasoline prices in Maine were $3.73 per gallon on Sunday, 10 cents per gallon more than they were a week earlier.

Including that change, prices in Maine Sunday were 97.6 cents per gallon higher than they were the same day one year ago, but still 1.4 cent per gallon lower than a month ago.

The national average, meanwhile, has decreased 9.1 cents per gallon during the last month but stands 91.7 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
