PORTLAND — The Maine Academy of Modern Music has established a scholarship fund in honor of Ian Parker, a guitarist and singer who died Feb. 28.
A resident of Machias and Hallowell, Parker, who began playing professionally at age 13, was a member of bands including The Underground Express, Rumble Strip, and The Returnables.
The scholarship fund is currently $1,000.
