WATERVILLE — Five area students from Mid-Maine Technical Center recently competed in five competitions at the Skills USA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, Mo. Each student previously won the state competition and the honor to represent Maine at the national competition.

Ethan Vonderheide of Messalonskee High School, earned a silver medal in architectural drafting; Alexis Russo of Waterville Senior High School placed 13th in culinary arts; Ryan Logan of Messalonskee High School placed 27th in collision repair; Casey Conchinha of Lawrence High School placed 31st in advertising design; Trapper Bouchard of Waterville Senior High School placed 31st in cabinetmaking.
