Elvis gospel music planned for Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — An Elvis gospel and inspirational musical tribute concert, performed by local Elvis tribute artist Don Boudreau, is planned for 7 tonight at Fairfield First Baptist Church, 12 Newhall St.

Admission is free; however, an offering will be taken. Proceeds will benefit the Mid Maine Homeless Shelter Rebuilding Lives Campaign.

Bible School set for Aug. 1 in Bingham

BINGHAM — The Bingham Congregational Church will host its vacation Bible school Aug. 1-5 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. “Sailing With the Savior” is the theme and it is open to children of all ages. Volunteers are needed.

Annual Concert Series in Wilton Aug. 7

WILTON — The annual Concerts on the Lawn Series will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at East Wilton Union Church, 1306 Main St.

The concerts will be each Sunday evening in August and begin at 6 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

Chairs will be provided. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held inside. Light refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow each concert. Admission is free, though there will be an opportunity for a free-will offering.

The concert schedule is as follows:

* Aug. 7, Heaven’s Blend, gospel singing pastors

* Aug. 14, Hyssongs, a family gospel trio

* Aug. 21, New Beginnings, a local gospel duo

* Aug. 28, Journey Home, a local family gospel group
