WATERVILLE — Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda recently held its National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla.

Two Thomas College students, Amelia Moon and Wade Wakefield received national recognition at the Phi Beta Lambda Awards of Excellence in June. Moon competed in public speaking and earned the third place trophy and a cash award of $300. Wakefield competed in hospitality management and brought home third place.

The awards were part of a comprehensive national competitive events program sponsored by FBLA-PBL that recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas.
