GARDINER — HealthReach Hospice and Volunteers of Kennebec Valley will sponsor an eight-week Hospice Volunteer Training Program Oct. 4 through Nov. 16. The class meets Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at MaineGeneral Medical Center’s Gardiner campus. The class also meets on Wednesday evenings.
This training can prepare volunteers to provide practical, emotional and spiritual support to persons living with a terminal illness, as well as support to the family.
Pre-registration for the training is required. To pre-register or for more information, call 626-1779 before Sept. 12.
