RICHMOND — Swan Island Wildlife Management Area will offer two-hour guided truck tours on July 30.

Participants will travel to the island by ferry. Trips will take place at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., leaving from the Swan Island landing, rain or shine.

The tours will coincide with Richmond Days festivities happening in town that day. Participants should sign up at the Richmond Days Booth on the waterfront. The cost is $2 per person and exact change is requested.

The island — an abandoned 18th and 19th century town called Perkins Township — is known for its scenery and abundant wildlife, including nesting eagles, osprey, deer and wild turkeys.
