Last Wednesday morning, I had a bike accident while riding on the Hallowell section of the Rail Trail with my son. I had hurt my hand badly and suffered many scrapes and bruises.

Unfortunately, we did not have our cell phone with us. My son had a difficult time finding someone to help us, when finally he approached two nice women who allowed him to call for help. The two compassionate women stayed with us and comforted me until help arrived, and I was taken to the emergency room.

In addition, a male runner stopped to make sure I was OK and see if there was anything he could do to help us.

I want to express my appreciation for the kindness these three strangers offered my son and me that day.
