Vegetables and fruit are easy to grow. Instead of paying for health care, why not grow our own food in our own backyards?

A garden only needs five to six hours of sunlight. And we get healthy kids, healthy people; no doctors needed.

I was glad to see and read Brenda Lachance’s letter (Aug. 2). People have tried writing letters and calling our senators and representatives, and marching has been tried. We need to do more.

Members of Congress do not listen to us, only their pockets and lobbyists. Are we ready to stop work and surround the Capitol in Washington, D.C., or call the capitals in each state until we get what we need?

What Egyptians did is contagious! As long as we don’t burn cars or break windows we should be safe.
