Something is very, very wrong with our judicial system when DNA testing that could be used to solve a 31-year-old murder case is not used.

This would be a fantastic use of science and technology. Why can’t this technology be used to free Dennis Dechaine if it shows he is innocent?

When there is any reasonable doubt, all available means should be explored. This case should be open or shut.

If the DNA matches, Dechaine he deserves all he has coming. However, by not allowing the evidence and ignoring his innocent pleas, the system that we are suppose to trust is doing a disservice to all of us.

Why if the DNA technology that could be used to prove this case is not being used? I would like to think it is a case of red tape, but my cynical side thinks there is more to it.

We should not let a potentially innocent man waste his life in prison if there are means to prove him innocent.
