VASSALBORO — Teams and individuals from the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference and Mountain Valley Conference qualified this week at Natanis for state golf championships.

The team title will be contested Monday at Natanis while the individual championships will be held Oct. 15 at Natanis.

Qualifying in Class A from the KVAC were Bangor, Brewer, Lawrence, Hampden and Brunswick.

In Class B, Lincoln, Maine Central Institute, Maranacook and Winslow qualified.
Ethan Pearl of Nokomis was low individual quaifier with 72.

Central Maine qualifiers included Cony’s Zach Gagne, Erskine’s Simon Rollins, Mt. Blue’s Drew Ferrai and Messalonskee’s Justin Rollins in Class A.

 In Class B, MCI’s Gavin Dugas and Mt. View’s Erik Larrabee were low qualifiers with 76s.

Other local qualifiers included Maranacook’s Luke Ruffing, and Winslow’s Justin Kervin and Ryan Dutil.

Qualifying for the schoolgirl tournament were Lawrence’s Kelsie Dessent and Erskine’s Ashley Chubbuck in Class A and Oak Hill’s Alexis Priest in Class B.

St. Dominic and Wiscasset qualified for Class C team championships from the MVC.

Madison’s Seth Sweet was low individual qualifier with 72.

Also qualifying were Winthrop’s Tyler Foster and Taylor Morang.
