AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage will help dedicate a hilltop trail and park bench to the memory of a fallen Iraq soldier from Aroostook County.

The summit hiking trail at Haystack Mountain in Castle Hill will be dedicated Friday in the name of Cpl. Dustin Libby, a Presque Isle native.

LePage, members of the Libby family and Maine Conservation Commissioner Bill Beardsley will attend the dedication, which is the result of a bill passed in March by the Legislature.

The 22-year-old Libby, of Castle Hill, fell in action in 2006 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
